After shooting all day in the Texas Hill Country a few weeks ago, I came back to Austin after dark. Driving across a bridge, I noticed the water and got the idea of doing a night image of the skyline with a reflection in the Colorado River (Lady Bird Lake/Town Lake) that runs through the city. So, before heading to the hotel for the night, I stopped at Butler Park and walked down the hiking trail by the water until I found a spot without trees blocking the view and made this photo.
The 1st Street Bridge is in clear view and you can make out the Congress Street Bridge just past it. I am not far from the SRV statue here.
I will have to get back there and shoot another one when they get finished with the construction and remove the crane at some point.
